![]() ![]() Thought the forum would send me an alert via email. Here's a few tutorials that can help you learn a bit more about variables and how to use them: The second one says 2k/3 but variable operations doesn't change much between the RPG Maker engines, so tutorials for any RM engine about them works. ![]() So the top one will be where you put the eventing where the hero is deemed worthy to join the guild, and the bottom one is where the hero is not good enough for the guild. Confirm it all, and you'll end up with a line like so: Control Variables: >= 30 Else Branch End The lines with will be where you put the eventing for either/or situations. Pick Actor, then choose the name of the hero and set the second drop down list next to the name to DEF. ![]() You'll be given a lot of options you can check. After that go down to Game Data and double-click. Using the 'Control Variables' event command, name the variable then choose Set (this will make the variable in question equal to a particular number straight off the bat). For your scenario you will need one variable. You can use them to check stuff like how much Max HP a hero has, or how many times you've talked to a person, or how many items you have in your pack, or if you've talked to more/less than 20 NPCs in the whole game. Use variables~ Variables will check numbers within the game. ![]()
